BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

Michelle's career started in the USA, working for Fortune 500 companies where she held Training, OD and HR Business Partner roles. She did the obligatory stint as Director, People Stuff for a dot.com start-up before journeyed across the pond to work in London, ‎Amsterdam and various European cities. After being ‘laid off’ and ‘fed up’ with corporate life, she re-connecting with friends from the telecommunications industry, and co-founded Jupiter Consulting Group in 2004. As a consultant, Michelle has helped her clients clarify Purpose, build leadership capability, and drive change. She works with small businesses, non-profits, and FTSE 500 companies.

Michelle is also an international speaker on Change, the Future of Work and Balanced Gender Leadership. She has been a speaker at multiple professional development events including Richmond Event’s Human Resource Forum, the Strategic HR Network’s 10th Annual Congress, Open Forum Event’s Change Management: Blueprint for Better, Women International Networking (WIN), PWN-Global (Professional Women’s Network). She has presented at many internal women’s networking events hosted by well-known organisations including BAE Systems, Deloitte, Societe Generale and Mercer Consulting.

She has a Master’s degree in Organizational Behaviour from Johns Hopkins University; her Bachelor’s degree is from the University of Maryland. She is a CAPP (Centre for Application of Positive Psychology) certified Strengths-based coach. An affiliate of the Institute of Authentic Leadership. And on the Advisory Board of PWN-Global (Professional Women’s Network).

AREAS OF PASSION

Michelle is passionate about effecting change. Structural, cultural, and behavioural change. Change in attitudes, beliefs, and paradigms. Change to systems, processes and people. Mostly she is passionate about changing how change is done. She enjoys working with teams and leaders on the change behaviours they will need to exhibit in order to drive successful change. She believes the key to successful change implementation is seeking to change how things get done, now what gets done. She also believes in trusting the people involved to solve the issues that are important to them.

Michelle is passionate about helping build Purpose-driven organisations, led by Authentic Leaders where Results-Only Work Environments (ROWE™) allow teams and leaders to use their talents daily and to feel energized and happy at work. APPROACH

Michelle uses her knowledge of positive psychology, strengths and how the brain works in order to help individuals, teams and leaders – and their organisations – drive performance and happiness at work. She believes in partnership, co-creation and working with the people who will benefit from the change to design changes within organisations. Grounded in extensive organisational development experience, her approach integrates the latest research into 21st century workplaces including work done by the Authentic Leadership Institute, CAPP (Centre for Application of Positive Psychology) and Frederic Laloux, who has gathered case studies that illustrate a new, soulful way to run businesses.
